Ready-Terminated HV Cables

Pre-assembled, factory-tested high-voltage cable systems from 33 kV to 150 kV. Delivered to site ready to plug in.

The challenge

High-voltage cable termination has traditionally been carried out on site. Inside turbine towers. On substation yards. Across BESS parks. It requires specialist HV Jointers, controlled environments, extended site access, and time. Every variable introduced in the field increases the risk of partial discharge, insulation failure, or commissioning delay.

For projects where the same connection is repeated at scale, such as dropper cables and tower cables in offshore wind, the cumulative exposure to these variables is significant.

The Reynard approach

Reynard’s ready-terminated cable service moves termination from the field into the factory.
Every cable set is assembled, jointed, and electrically tested in our own dedicated facility in Nieuw-Vennep, near Amsterdam, under controlled temperature and humidity, using precision tooling and calibrated processes, with the full attention of certified HV Jointers.
Cables arrive on site terminated, tested, and certified. Pull, connect, and move on to the next tower.

The same applies to substations and BESS parks. Wherever HV cables need to be connected, factory termination simplifies the process.

Applications

Dropper and tower cables

The most common application for ready-terminated cables. In offshore wind, these connections are repeated across every turbine in a wind farm. Factory assembly ensures identical build quality across the entire batch.

Substation interconnections

Links between transformers, switchgear, and busbars on onshore and offshore substations. Pre-terminated cables eliminate the need for specialist jointers and climate-controlled tents on the substation yard.

BESS park cabling

String and collector cables connecting battery containers, inverters, and transformers. Factory termination reduces the balance-of-plant installation window and removes a dependency from the critical path.

What you get

Controlled quality

Every joint is made under identical factory conditions. No exposure to weather. No risk of contamination. Every condition managed. For series-produced cable sets, this means standardised, repeatable quality across every unit.

In-house testing up to 160 kV

Every assembly is electrically verified in our purpose-built high-voltage test facility before it leaves our building. Each cable is tested, documented, and certified. Performance is proven, not assumed.

Engineered to your specification

Each cable set is configured to your exact requirements. Voltage class, cable type and cross-section, length (3 to 150 metres), routing, connector type, and accessory brand.

Compatible with major brands

We work with Prysmian, TKF, NKT, TE Connectivity, Pfisterer, and others on request. We can also support the procurement of cables and components, ensuring full compatibility between all elements.

Complete delivery

Cables are delivered as complete units. No separate shipments, no missing components, no dependency on multiple suppliers. Warehousing and phased delivery can be aligned with your project planning.

How it works

  1. You share your project requirements using the checklist below.
  2. Reynard engineers the cable specification, confirms accessory compatibility, and aligns production planning.
  3. Cables are assembled, tested, and certified in our Nieuw-Vennep facility.
  4. Complete cable sets are stored, staged, and delivered to match your installation schedule.
