HV Jointer Training
Reynard Academy develops cable workers, onshore jointers and high-voltage professionals into confident HV jointers. The programme combines online learning with hands-on practical training, experienced instructors and clear standards for safety, workmanship and project readiness.
What you’ll learn
- Safe working methods, risk awareness and quality discipline for high-voltage cable work
- Cable preparation, assembly, termination and inspection using professional tools and materials
- The practical knowledge needed to work across 24 kV, 33 kV and 66 kV cable systems
- How to apply theory and practical experience in real onshore and offshore project conditions
- How to assess a task, prepare the work and act responsibly when conditions change
Programme details
Duration & format
The full development pathway combines online preparation with 25 practical training days. The programme is typically spread across a minimum of nine months, with flexible planning around project rotations where possible.
Who it’s for
The programme is designed for people with electrical, cable-work, onshore jointing or offshore experience, as well as motivated candidates who are ready to build the right technical foundation from the start.
Certification & progression
The course is a DNV-approved training course. Participants progress through online checks and practical proof-of-proficiency assessments, building recognised capability at each completed voltage level.

Do I need previous HV experience?
Not necessarily. Electrical, cable-work, onshore jointing or offshore experience is valuable, but motivated candidates can also discuss the right starting point with the Academy team.
Can I complete only part of the programme?
Yes. The training is structured in voltage-level modules, so the appropriate route can be discussed based on your experience, development needs and project requirements.
How is progress assessed?
Progress is assessed through online learning checks and practical proof-of-proficiency assessments. The focus is on safe working methods, technical quality and the ability to perform consistently.
