High Voltage offshore wind specialists V&SH Offshore have executed the contract to install all Dropper cable and the Terminations and Testing works at the SIF yard in Rotterdam.
The scope of the work included the installation, mechanical protection, temporary and permanent mechanical termination and testing of the HV Dropper Cables in 90 Transition Pieces (TPs) for the Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm (TKOWF) and all associated works.
Also, the preparation of “jumper” cables for 9 locations including the packaging and delivery to the employer.
“These onshore works are the perfect example of the added value we bring to our Clients. In close cooperation with our Client, we came up with the solution of prefabrication of part of the Works onshore.”
Sustainable for future generations
The works, next to cable routing, Termination and Testing works, also included a tailor-made solution for protecting the cable during the different phases of the windfarm.
By performing these works onshore, we did not only largely reduce the safety risks offshore, but also significantly reduced offshore installation time and the associated costs for our Client.
We strongly believe in early involvement, minimising safety hazards and costs offshore. Making the renewables market even more sustainable for the future generations”
