On May 15th, Reynard High Voltage Solutions proudly hosted a high-level delegation from Siemens Energy at our Nieuw-Vennep facility. The visit was more than ceremonial: it marked the beginning of a strengthened strategic relationship, built on shared performance standards, mutual trust, and a common ambition to power the energy transition.
Strengthening Ties Through Shared Ambition
The day opened with mutual presentations that outlined both companies’ visions for the future of high-voltage infrastructure. Siemens Energy shared its global perspective on the evolving grid landscape. At the same time, Reynard presented its growing track record in offshore high-voltage cable termination and testing, including our role in the BorWin5 project—a landmark offshore platform designed to deliver clean electricity to nearly one million households in northern Germany.
Reynard provides high-voltage testing services for the 66 kV cable system used in the BorWin5 project. This is part of our broader mission: to support complex offshore and onshore high-voltage connections with reliable, results-driven services.
Formalising the Partnership
A highlight of the visit was the signing and ceremonial handover of the Global Strategic Partner Certificate. Siemens Energy officially recognised Reynard as a strategic supplier for High-Voltage Services related to cable systems and accessories across various global business areas. The certificate was presented by Montassar Daoudi (Head of Category Connectivity & Insulation), Tilo Else (Vice President Procurement Grid Technologies), and Stefan Starnberger (Procurement Director Direct Material Project Entity). Representing Reynard were Managing Director Jonne Schortinghuis and CCO Maarten van Aller.
This partnership validates the quality, flexibility, and responsiveness of Reynard’s service model, particularly in dynamic offshore environments where timely delivery and technical certainty are crucial.
Collaboration Across the Value Chain
Also present during the day was TE Connectivity, a long-standing technology partner in high-voltage components. Their presence underlined the strength of collaboration across the HV cable value chain, reinforcing a shared commitment to technical excellence and integration.
Looking Ahead
As Reynard continues to grow its capabilities and international footprint, this new chapter with Siemens Energy will further our contribution to building the grid of the future—secure, scalable, and sustainable.
